1. Luftkratzen 

Phase is based on an ultra-powerful wireless technology, letting you mix even in the craziest environments without any noticeable latency.

And being wireless opens up a whole new world of experimentation! Some DJs float Phase Remotes on top of the records, while others grab the Remote and try out scratch combos with their hands. It’s a blast and definitely worth trying out at least once (whether it's useful or not is another story 😂)!

2. Der Trick mit der umgekehrten Remote

Have you ever wondered what happens if you flip a Phase Remote upside down? Well, you go down under! 😜

Actually, Phase Remotes are composed of highly precise gyroscopes and accelerometers to measure the rotation speed of your vinyl around its "Z" axis, which is the center of your turntable. 

In Phase, the "Z" axis of these sensors points upward on the Remote. This means that each Remote has a distinct "top" and "bottom." 

Wenn man ihn also umdreht, kehrt sich die gemessene Drehzahl (und damit die Geschwindigkeit des Gleises) um!

Kurz gesagt, wenn Sie die Remote verkehrt herum auf die Schallplatte legen, entsteht ein einzigartiges Szenario, bei dem sich der Plattenspieler normal dreht, aber der Track rückwärts abgespielt wird!

Dieser einzigartige Trick wurde vor allem von DJ 69Beats in seiner "Upside Down"-Routine während des Goldies Awards-Finales verwendet und machte sein Set wirklich unvergesslich.

3. Control your synthesizer with Phase

Für alle Musiker und Produzenten da draußen ist das sicher von Interesse 😉 .

As you may know, Phase has audio outputs (through its RCA ports) sending continuous DVS signals, to make it work with any DJ software supporting DVS. But that’s not the only way you can use it!

For the biggest nerds out here, it is possible to integrate the Phase signal into a modular setup (using an external module like pitch-to-CV, for example) to control dedicated modules like effects or synthesizers through your turntable!

Some folks have already incorporated Phase into their Syntablism practice, and as you can see below, the results are pretty amazing!
